Overview

Component Solutions Group, Inc. is a leading provider of high-quality, engineered fasteners and other related products manufactured in the US and around the world.  CSG is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Associate who will be responsible following quality control systems and standards, based on facility’s quality management program, to ensure customer satisfaction through the production of products that consistently meet our customers’ needs and design standards.

This position will be located at our Dayton, OH facility and report daily to our Global Quality Manager. The candidate will be actively involved in all quality related activities required of a tier II supplier in a Global Supply Chain.  This position will work in conjunction with our Global Quality Team responsible for working with our vendors & customers to accomplish the ultimate goal of total customer satisfaction.

  • Facilitate all vendor & customer PPAP’s to AIAG level III standards.

  • Main contact for vendor & customer for product quality.

  • Perform Technical Review & Interpret 2D & 3D prints.

  • Perform Mechanical Testing & Dimensional Inspection.

  • Document and maintain Quality records in accordance with Quality Management System.

  • Lead response for all customer complaints using the 8D / 5 Why Process.

  • Initiate 3rd party containment actions, analyze root cause & implement corrective actions.

  • Communicate results to customer.  Bring resolution in a timely manner to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate with senior manager on material issues, problems, planning and updates.  

  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for product quality.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Global Quality Manager.

  • .

  • Familiarity with quality testing machines, lab equipment, gauges, hand tools, and systems.

  • Knowledge and experience in Automotive Quality Management Systems and processes including IATF16949/ISO9001; QMS internal and 3rd party auditing; Quality control function and techniques, PPAP, IMDS, Gauges, FMEA, APQP, CARS, problem solving and lean manufacturing principals.

  • Working knowledge of Steel Material Grades and properties is a plus.

  • Read and interpret drawings both in Metric & English to ensure the understanding of the agreed quality parameters and product specific requirements

  • Understand Technical Standards & Specifications such as ISO, JIS, SAE, ASME.

  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

  • Regular, skilled use of Microsoft programs and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Customers, Vendors, and Associates.

  • Associates Degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field (further technical schooling is a plus).

  • 3-5 years of previous work experience in a quality role working in a manufacturing or automotive environment.

  • May occasionally be required to travel offsite, sometimes overnight.

  • Must be a licensed driver with a safe driving record.

  • Proficient math skills.

  • High attention to detail.
