A1 Fastener and Components, Inc is looking for a Sales Support & Marketing Specialist for our Industrial Hardware line, who is ready to start an exciting career with an established, entrepreneurial driven company.

Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, A1 is an OE tiered supplier of made to print, designed in /engineered components to the automotive and other industries. The industrial hardware Sales Support & Marketing Specialist serves as a point of contact for existing clients, processing client orders, building client relationships, prospecting new clients, online marketing, and assisting other departments by organizing new RFQ’s, inventory management, and material planning.

  • Coordinates with A1 Material Planning on material flow for the purpose of achieving sales goals

  • Communicate effectively with A1 Material Planning & Logistics on status of A1 orders and deliveries

  • Prepare and maintain status reports

  • Support resolution of discrepancies with shipping & logistics, finance, and operations

  • Meet key performance metric goals

  • Create sales orders in ERP system, communicate with warehouse, and arrange freight for outbound shipments

  • Continue to build strong working relationships with our existing clients that further increase potential business opportunities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact to the client by providing support and responding to requests and client inquiries

  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities

  • Maintain databases with current and accurate customer information

  • Continuously increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures

  • Work in team environment, communicating as required with all department’s personnel

  • Attend tradeshows and onsite client sales meetings as requested

  • Marketing and other forms of business development task

  • This role is responsible for providing the necessary planning, communication, and coordination of efforts to ensure that clients are successfully managed and have the continued satisfaction they are used to from our company.  We are looking for a candidate with the following experience.

  • Experience working within an industrial manufacturing distribution company is preferred but not required

  • Previous experience in customer service, account management, inside/outside sales or product support position is preferred but not required

  • Ability to read and interpret 2d prints is a plus

  • Ability to learn technical product information and transfer knowledge to customers

  • Direct telephone/electronic selling experience is preferred

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products

  • Experience in Sage 50 is a plus
